MISSION STATEMENT
St Alphonsus youth ministry seeks to enable youth to live as disciples of Christ in our world today.  Through active participation in our communities, sound catechesis, relevant and reverential prayer and worship experiences, interactive social and service participation, and firmly rooted in Christ, our youth are living out our Holy Fathers invitation to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ on a daily basis.

The joy of the Gospel arises from a heart which, in its poverty, rejoices and marvels at the works of God, like the heart of Our Lady, whom all generations call “blessed” (cf. Lk 1:48). May Mary, Mother of the poor and Star of the new evangelization help us to live the Gospel, to embody the Beatitudes in our lives, and to have the courage always to be happy. - message from the Holy Father for the twenty-ninth World Youth Day, 2014

We offer junior and senior high ministry to our youth in this parish that participates with our cluster, our diocese, in our communities, and nationally to offer a variety of opportunities.  Effective ministry is built on relationships and we strive to build our ministry on the framework provided in the
Renewing the Vision document.

Mother of Perpetual Help,
we call upon your most powerful name.

Your very name inspires confidence and hope.
May it always be on our lips, especially in time of temptation

and at the hour of our death.
Blessed Lady, help us whenever we call on you.

Let us not be content with merely pronouncing your name.
May our daily lives proclaim that you are our Mother
and our Perpetual Help.
